Based on a curriculum aimed at training the experts that society needs, we have four departments to help our students become front-line professionals in computer skills. We are committed to the development of human resources with a comprehensive set of strengths to meet the needs of a range of fields, with a focus on the games, computer graphics and IT industries.

First- and second-year students focus on acquiring the skills necessary to become IT engineers, as well as a range of qualifications to prove their expertise. Third-year students gain hands-on experience in system development based on actual orders from IT businesses. The department prepares students to work professionally from day one in the real world.

Computer Graphics Department

Computer Graphics Department

Students learn the skills necessary at the forefront of the computer graphics industry according to a practical curriculum devised by active creators. Attentive instruction in computer graphics skills is provided while covering information on leading-edge technologies and upgrades.

Games Department

Games Department

From gamers to game creators ? with practical education in partnership with game manufacturers at the forefront of the industry, the Games Department trains professionals to develop their visions into creations.

Information Business Department

Information Business Department

Students learn how to operate the applications required in routine business, and focus on acquiring qualifications that are sought after in the business world. These include system administrator qualifications that involve passing a national examination in information processing technology, and the world-recognized Microsoft Office Specialist certification.

Students at the Games and Computer Graphics Departments receive lectures on the game industry from various perspectives such as production, creation and marketing. The Computer & Business College and Bandai Namco Games Inc. work together to draw up a curriculum for students aspiring to become professionals in the industry.

Maya is the name of professional computer graphics software that is used worldwide in the fields of movies, games, animation, etc. The Computer & Business College is Hokkaido’s only certified training school with one of the few official Maya instructors certified by Autodesk, Inc. in Japan.

Students acquire a range of knowledge, such as how to access databases via networks, directly from a trainer certified by Oracle, the world’s largest database software manufacturer.

Students produce original computer graphics video works to enter computer graphics competitions both domestically and abroad. Many works have been well received, including two pieces accepted at SIGGRAPH, the world’s largest CG competition.
